About Us
I’m Amy, born and raised in Cumberland, RI. I work as a Kindergarten teacher in Westwood, MA. My husband John grew up in Lynn, MA and works as an electrical engineer for Dalsa, in Billerica, MA.
John and I met during the 2004 skydiving season at Skydive New England in Lebanon, Maine where I was working (and jumping) and John was a fun jumper. In late August, after a few dinner and bowing dates, we decided to fly to Vegas and get married. We know, it sounds crazy to marry someone you’ve only known for a few weeks, but it has worked out great for us!
After our first wedding (there have been several…long story for another time) we settled down in Norwood, MA where I had been living with my friend Jen. Yup, we lived like Three’s Company for several months before Jen moved out and we had the place to ourselves.
During that first year together we took a trip to Florida where I busted my knee on my first jump with my brand new rig! That ended my skydiving career for the time being as I ended up needing surgery…We also celebrated our second wedding with friends and family, and honeymooned, where else, but Vegas, of course.
In December 2005, following our first anniversary, we bought our first place! A condo in Bellingham, MA. A few months later, we found out we were expecting our first beautiful child. We were so thrilled!
Lauren was born on November 22, 2006. It is because of her that we finally got it together to start this website. We want to be able to share her, and our experiences with her, with our friends and relatives near and far.
